Other activities taking place throughout the day include a silent auction, dart board, 50/50 raffle and craft and product vendors. Food stands are also available, featuring Mr. Taco, Barnyard Tenderloin Xpress, the Masonic Lodge and ice cream and sno cones from Mahaska Drug.

Flag Raising Ceremony at 7:45 a.m., members of the VFW, American Legion, and Boy Scouts will raise the flag at both the police and fire departments. Following the flag raising, members of the middle school band will play the national anthem.
The second Freedom 5K is put on by the Knoxville Police Department. Registration begins outside the KPD at 7 a.m., with the race beginning at 8 a.m. Awards will be given to the winners of each age division, as well as overall male and female winners.
The Knoxville Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m.
Join Cathy Struecker from Cairn Yoga & Wellness Studio for yoga on the lawn of the First United Methodist Church at 8:45 a.m. Wear your sunscreen and bring a yoga mat, beach towel, or blanket and water to enjoy the sounds of nature as you take your yoga practice outdoors.
The patriotic bike parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Participants should meet at City Hall. Supplies for decorating bikes will be provided on Wednesday, July 3rd at the Knoxville Public Library (614 East Washington) at 3 p.m. Meet in the gym for decorating.
Various activities will be held on the square from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Activities include live music at the courthouse bandstand, Sally Anne’s homemade ice cream, Smitty’s inflatables, games and face painting.
The Rotary Club lunch is available beginning at 11 a.m.
Get a team together to compete for the 4th of July Dodgeball Tournament. Registration forms are available at City Hall or can be requested via Facebook. Register your team by Friday, June 28. The tournament begins at Memorial Hall at 11 a.m.
The Best Burger contest will begin at 11 a.m. at Peace Tree Brewing. Participants are to grill only one burger for the judges. They must provide their own grill and ingredients. No open fire pits are allowed. All cooked ingredients must be cooked on site on your grill.
The bags tournament will be held on the east side of Peace Tree on 1st Street. Signup will start at 10 a.m. with an 11 a.m start time. Bring your own partner and bags. Participants will receive one free drink ticket to Peace Tree. The competition is open to competitors of all ages. There is a fee to enter the tournament. A portion of the money will be donated to THRIVE Knoxville.
The Peace Tree Beer Garden and Iowa Beer Bus will be open from 6-10 p.m. at the Knoxville Raceway.
The kid zone will be open from 6-8 p.m. at the Knoxville Raceway.
A driver autograph session begins at 7 p.m. at the Knoxville Raceway.
The Band CTRL+C will perform a concert at the Knoxville Raceway beginning at 8 p.m.
Fireworks will begin at Youngs Park at 9:45 p.m.

Begin the Fourth of July celebration with breakfast at the Masonic Lodge, beginning at 7 a.m.
At 8:15 a.m., the American Legion will hold a flag raising ceremony outside the Memorial Hall. This will include a 21-gun salute and the singing of the National Anthem.
Parade line-up begins at 10 a.m. in the Pleasantville Middle School parking lot. The parade will begin at 11 a.m.
Lunch is available from noon until 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church Family Living Center.
Watch the Star Spangled Dance Squad perform from 1-2 p.m. at the Pleasantville High School gym.
Joe Inman & Company will be performing live music at Cora Shadle Memorial Park from 7-9 p.m. This event is sponsored by Michelle Green — Iowa Realty.
The fireworks display will begin at dusk, approximately 9:30 p.m. They will be launched from Cora Shadle Memorial Park. The fireworks are provided by Pleasantville Emergency Services.
