Pleasantville Homecoming Court

The 2019 Pleasantville Homecoming Court was announced September 13. Court members in the front row include Freshman Attendants Trevor Nickel and Alexandria Blackford, Sophomore Attendants Tucker Hartnett and JaLeigh Leerhoff, and Junior Attendants Anna Neznamova and Justin Nickel. Back row includes Queen candidates Samantha Entinger, Noa Sample, Kasey Pelzer and Payton Sheets, and King candidates Brendan Aldrich, Tagen Douma, Wyatt Clark and Cale Anthony.

Homecoming 2019 has arrived in Pleasantville. The Trojans will host the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks on Sept. 27 for the Homecoming football game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Throughout the week, students have plenty of opportunities to participate in homecoming festivities. Dress-up days included class color day on Monday, opposite day on Tuesday and ranch day on Wednesday. Students also participated in spirit games on Monday.

Thursday brings a big day for Pleasantville, featuring teacher look-alike day for the dress-up theme. At 6 p.m., the parade and pep rally will take place, followed by coronation of the Queen and King. The powderpuff match will follow, beginning at 8 p.m.

The 2019 Pleasantville Homecoming Court was announced at a pep rally held on Sept. 13. The Queen candidates this year are Samantha Entinger, Noa Sample, Kasey Pelzer and Payton Sheets. The King candidates are Brendan Aldrich, Tagen Douma, Wyatt Clark and Cale Anthony.

The court also includes attendants from each class. Representing the freshmen are Alexandria Blackford and Trevor Nickel. Sophomore attendants are JaLeigh Leerhoff and Tucker Hartnett, while Anna Neznamova and Justin Nickel represent the junior class.

On Friday, students are encouraged to show their school pride with Trojan spirit day. The homecoming football game begins at 7 p.m. against the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks.
