The Knoxville High School Marching Band placed fourth at Saturday's Davis County Marching Contest.

The event was moved from Bloomfield to Pella. Band Director Ross Leeper was pleased with the band's performance.

"We were competitive," he said. He went on to say that the students had a good time. They listed to recordings of the judges' comments, which were positive. The band was one-tenth of a point away from placing third in the competition.
