The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says a Melcher-Dallas man led them on a pursuit while intoxicated on New Year’s Day.

The sheriff’s office charged Michael John Riebhoff, 61, of Melcher-Dallas, was charged with eluding, OWI second offense, speeding 11-15 mph over posted limit, and open container.

Law enforcement said they pursued Riebhoff, starting around 2 a.m. on Jan. 1. Once they arrested Riebhoff, police said he had a blood alcohol content of .109, over the legal limit of .08.
