Mayor Hatch proclaims Constitution Week

Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch signed a proclamation on August 12 declaring the week of September 17-23 as Constitution Week.

Mayor Hatch was joined by members of the Henry Knox Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

September 17, 2019 marks the 232nd anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution. By proclaiming September 17-23 as Constitution Week, the proclamation asks citizens of Knoxville to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the Constitution held in 1787.

Marla Suter, a member of the Henry Knox Chapter of the DAR, hopes that community member will take the time to read the Constitution and defamiliarize themselves with it during this week.
