Knoxville police said they found methamphetamine and a prescription drug pill during a traffic stop near Ken Locke Stadium on Friday.

Susan Lynn Beals, 52, of Knoxville, was charged with possession of methamphetamine third or subsequent offense, a class D felony; and unlawful possession of prescription drug, a serious misdemeanor.

A Knoxville Police Officer pulled over a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Beals at 10:38 p.m. Friday near Ken Locke Stadium.

During the stop, Beals asked to retrieve her license from a different vehicle and officers said they allowed her to.

While she was searching through a purse, officers said they noticed a clear baggie. Officers placed her under arrest.

A crystalline substance in the baggie tested positive as methamphetamine and weighed about 0.9 grams. Officers also located a pill that was identified as Sildenafil Citrate, a prescription-only drug, in the purse which also contained her identification, police said.
