KNOXVILLE — Robin Pfalzgraf of Pella, was named the executive director for Habitat for Humanity of Marion County. Her first day was Monday, Feb. 13.

Pfalzgraf has experience working for nonprofit administrations. She was Executive Director and Relational Development Coordinator at Love in the Name of Christ, (Love INC) in Oskaloosa for eight years.

Most recently, she worked as a Relations Development Specialist for the HCI Foundation, formally known as Hospice of Central Iowa.

“We couldn't be more excited to welcome Robin as our Executive Director,” said Board of Director President Ryan Vos in a press release. “She brings experience, a strong local network and a passionate leadership style.”

Before moving to Pella, Pfalzgraf had lived in Oskaloosa for 18 years. She moved to Pella a few years ago.

Aside from her duties as Habitat executive director, Pfalzgraf also serves on the Pella Community Planning on Zoning board of directors.

Pfalzgraf said she is excited and ready to begin her duties at Habitat.

“I served on the board for Habitat in Mahaska County. I knew what Habitat was and how it worked,” Pfalzgraf said. “I thought this was a good way to get back to helping what I call 'My people.'”

Pfalzgraf said Marion County Habitat is one of the best. Her vision is to continue that legacy, and to serve more families, build more houses and engage communities with Habitat.

“We believe God has plans for Robin and Habitat as we look forward to our next 20 years and beyond,” Vos said.
