The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved the final site plan for Sanctuary Garden Farms during their regular meeting on Jan. 14.
Sanctuary Garden Farms came before the board in September 2019, when the first of three public hearings was held in regards to rezoning the property for an organic farm and event/reception venue. The farm is located at 669 Highway 14, Otley.
After three public hearings, the supervisors approved the rezoning of the property to commercial agriculture restricted in October. Sanctuary Garden Farms will include gardens, an orchard, a packing shed, amenities for “glamorous camping”, and a party barn that could host wedding receptions or similar events.
The site plan was approved by the zoning commission on Dec. 17.
