Van Wijk Winery will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary by hosting a free open house for the public with activities, drawings, live music and appetizers.
The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 3-10 p.m. at 802 4th St. in Sully. Attendees must register by Aug. 17 to reserve a seat.
When Rebecca and Roger Van Wyk were learning to be winemakers, and anticipated someday opening their own family winery in 2009, they could only dream of the tremendous support they would receive from their children and grandchildren, extended family, friends, employees and customers.
Today, the Van Wyk family is excited to commemorate 10 years in business together to cherish the moments, and the public is invited. The winery has grown over the years, producing award-winning wines, enhancing the winery campus to include the Van Wijk Guest House and Courtyard Vineyard, expanding into over 88 retail outlets and online shipping to 30 different states, employing a part-time staff of 20 to 30 and so much more.
As a ‘thank you’ to their customers, the winery will be offering 10 percent off on all to-go wine and logo’d wine glass purchases. Guests will be able to take photos in a grape stomp photo booth, enter their names in drawings for special prizes, enjoy live music and the release of a new Leighton Up Sparkling Wine. Wine slushy shots and small bite appetizers, including celebration cake and wood-fired pizza featuring the Green Mountain Grill Brigade, will also be available.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a fun evening of celebration in the winery’s Courtyard Vineyard.
