3M has made its latest donation, insulation, to The Grand Theater this past week.
3M donated the insulation, called Thinsulate, that will be finished with fabric draped carefully over it. The insulation will act as a sound deadener and prevent echoing inside the theater.
"It really helped take the auditorium from just some blank, empty cement boxes to something that's really going to be a very movie-friendly environment," Morse said. "We have 3M to thank for a lot of stuff along the way. It's been really neat to partner up with our different community boosters."
The insulation was donated about one week ago and since then has been put into place by volunteers working on the theater. Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16, volunteers placed the drapes over the insulation.
