Many teams have a game that they would like to forget. For the Pleasantville Trojans, that game was played Tuesday, Jan. 7, when they suffered a 44-16 loss to the Woodward-Granger Hawks at home.

The WCAC setback put the Trojans at 0-4 in league play and 4-5 overall.

The W-G Hawks stayed tied for the league lead with a 7-0 mark and they moved to 9-1 overall.

Pleasantville had nearly half of their points in the first quarter. The Hawks led 14-6 at the end of one period and 29-6 at halftime.

In the third the Trojans only scored two points.

For the entire game the Trojans made only 4-of-35 field goal attempts for 11.4 percent shooting.

Most of the Trojan points came at the foul line as they hit 7-of-14 attempts.

Malorie McKinney had six points for PHS, Faith Vander Hart five, Rachel Harvey three and Riley Thill and Bre Benge each added one point.
