The Pleasantville Trojans check in with a record of 8-8 overall after splitting a pair of varsity boys’ basketball game last Thursday and Friday.
Thursday, Jan. 30, the Trojans traveled to Stuart to play West Central Valley. Pleasantville took down the Wildcats 69-23.
Mitch Harken led the way offensively for PHS with 25 points and a team high nine rebounds.
Junior Austin McMillin popped in 10 points and added seven boards for the Trojans.
Next came Mason Scheve with eight points, Caylor Clark with seven and Tagen Douma with five.
The Trojans held quarter leads of 24-5, 45-15 and 55-15 en route to the 46 point win.
The Trojans were 7-of-18 on 3-point shots and 12-of-16 at the foul line.
The Trojans faced the Madrid Tigers on Cancer Crusher Night at the school.
The Tigers proved to be ferocious opponents as they led 41-21 at halftime and 60-28 at the end of three on their way to a 77-42 win over Pleasantville.
Harken had 14 points in the win and Scheve netted 11. Next came Douma with eight and Clark with seven.
Pleasantville was just 3-of-26 on 3-point shooting.
