The Pleasantville Trojans finished the season with 10-5 setback to the Woodward-Granger Hawks in Class 2A District Baseball action Tuesday, July 16,

Suffering the loss on the mound for PHS was Quintin Berglund who worked 4.1 innings allowing six hits and eight runs, four of them were earned.

Pleasantville managed eight hits for the evening, two of them were by Cael Lester, who also had one of the three RBI.

Other Trojan hits were gathered by Grant Fouch, Q. Berglund, Kaydin Dyer and Aaron Wilkins.

Wilkins and Berglund had one RBI each in the loss.


Pleasantville Coach Sheldon Card replied, “Overall I was very pleased with the season. We continued to get better each week which is a sign of commitment from the players. The strength of our team was competing, there wasn't one game that we were out of physically or mentally. We battled through injuries and the next man in always came in strong. I'm very proud of this team, we played our best at the end of the season and can honestly say we gave everything we had.”

The Trojans were 13-8 in the West Central Athletic Conference (WCAC) and 18-17 overall.

The Trojans won seven of their last nine games.
