After a slew of rained out games the Melcher-Dallas Saints picked up its first win of the season Friday, May 31 against Orient-Macksburg.

The Saints won the game 3-2 over their Bluegrass Conference rival.

Emilie Krpan picked up the win striking out nine and allowing four hits.

The Saints scored two in the bottom of the first and never trailed.

M-D hits were collected by Haley Godfrey who was 3-for-3 with three doubles.

Riley Enfield added two hits and an RBI. Gracie Mann and Kynser Reed each finished with a single,

Kaela Eslinger took the loss for Orient-Macksburg as she allowed three runs and seven hits.

The win came in the first round of the Murray Softball Tournament.

The M-D Saints are coached by Jim Crozier.
