Meet the Panther Night is slated for Friday evening Aug. 23.

It is an evening the public gets to see the 2019 fall sports varsity teams before the season gets started the following week.

Knoxville Panther Athletic Director Ryan Paulsen released the schedule of events for Friday.

The Knoxville cross country team will hold an intra-squad race around the Knoxville High School campus from 5:00 until 5:30 p.m.

The Panther volleyball team looks to defend their league title of the past two years with a scrimmage at the school from 5:45 until 6:15 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

From 6:15 until 7:45 the Knoxville football parents will hold a tail-gate session at the Ken Locke Football Stadium. A meal will consist of serving hamburgers, chips, a sweet treat and a drink for a free will offering (suggestion price of $5).

At 7:15 p.m. the Panther football team will hold an intra-squad scrimmage at the stadium.

Also on the slate of schedule of events at the stadium will be the dance team in action, the marching band performance, the introduction of all the fall teams and a new event the best teammate awards recognition.

Admission for the evening will be a voluntary donation of Gatorade. There will be places set up at the school and the stadium for drop off of the Gatorade products.

Varsity coaches for the fall season for Knoxville include Eric Kellar for football, Mollie Keitges for volleyball and the husband-wife team of Michael and Mikayla Splavec.
