The Pleasantville Trojans knocked off the Interstate-35 Roadrunners in Truro June 28 3-7 and fell to West Marshall on the road July 5.
The split left Coach Sheldon Card’s squad at 14-16 overall.
In the win Max Hinners and Cael Lester each had two hits for PHS. Cael Berglund drove in three runs, Hinners and Austin McMillan each plated two.
Cael Berglund was the winning pitcher working 5.2 innings in relief.
A 9-run fifth inning proved to be the difference in the game.
West Marshall scored in each of the first five innings of an 11-10 win over the Trojans.
Quintin Berglund and Grant Fouch each had three hits for PHS while Berglund drove in three runs and Cael Lester plated two.
Aaron Wilkins took the loss on the mound for the Trojans.
Pleasantville scored two runs in the seventh to make things interesting at the very end.
Pleasantville opens District play Saturday in Madrid at 5 p.m. against Colfax-Mingo.
