After a quick 4-0 start to the season, the Pleasantville Trojans suffered their first loss of the year. Panorama playing at home Monday, Dec. 9, topped the PHS girls 63-38 in WCAC basketball action.

Points were tough to come by for Coach jeff Cook’s squad in the opening half of play.

Panorama led 20-4 at the end of the first quarter and 44-9 at halftime.

For all practical purposes the win was neatly tucked in the win column for the Panthers at intermission.

Shooting woes were a problem for the Trojans as they were only 13-of-30 from the floor and 8-of-20 at the foul line fir 40 percent.

Pleasantville was led in scoring by Faith Vander Hart with 11 points. Rachel Harvey added six points, Adi Adreon and Bre Benge knocked in five points each for PHS.

Despite only scoring four points, Malorie McKinney was strong on the boards with 15 rebounds. Vander Hart was next for PHS with five.

Harvey and Josie Hutchings each finished with two assists.

The loss drops the Trojans to 4-1 overall.

Panorama was led in scoring by Angel Poldberg and Anna Holloway each hitting for 14.

The Panthers improved to 1-2 overall with the victory in Pleasantville.
