The Knoxville Panther baseball team was looking at ending a skid when they faced the Oskaloosa Indians in non-conference action Tuesday, June 18.

The Panthers jumped on top of the Indians 6-0 entering the bottom of the second. Oskaloosa rallied back to tie the game 6-6 entering the fourth and tacked on three more to win the contest 9-8.

It was Knoxville’s sixth loss in a row and they have now dropped 10 of their previous 11 outings.

Blaise Hubler, Ben Olson and Kobie Marshall all pitched for the Panthers with Marshall taking the loss.

Knoxville collected six hits in the game, led by Carter Bailey with a home run and Ben Olson with a triple. Both players drove in two runs for KHS as did Kaleb Streigle.

While the Panthers slipped to 4-19 overall while the Indians, who were playing at home, improved to 11-4 for the year.

Oskaloosa had 13 hits in the contest to go along with five walks. Kale Bollinger was the winning pitcher working 3.2 innings on the mound.
