It was far from easy, but in the end the Pleasantville Trojans prevailed in a WCAC league game 25-22, 25-27, 25-17, 20-25, 15-8 over the Earlham Cardinals on the road August 27 to open the 2019 portion of the schedule.

It was the Sam Entinger show as the senior finished the evening with 34 big kills. Next came Amber McKinney with 11 put aways at the net.

Adi Adreon handled the setting chores and came up with 28 assists followed by Noa Sample with four.

On the defensive end of the court the Trojans had 26 digs from Breanna Benge and 10 by Adreon. Other top defensive statistics had Entinger with seven digs and McKinney with nine.

The Trojans are coached by Joel Allman.

Odds and Ends

The Trojans will enjoy life on the road for two weeks before facing Chariton and Interstate-35 at home Sept. 19.
