Pleasantville has been selected as the Channel 5 Friday Night Blitz Game of the Week, Oct. 18.
The television crew will at the school for a community pep rally that will get underway in the high school gymnasium at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18.
The local 5 crew will be live on the air from 6 a.m. until 7:15 a.m.
The Trojans will play host to the Interstate-35 Roadrunners Friday night.
Pleasantville fans that arrive for the televised portion of the event are advised to wear pink to show support of the cancer crusher theme and fundraiser at the game for the family of Knoxville Journal-Express and Pella Chronicle Sports Editor Perry Bell, wife Lisa, and granddaughter, Jasmine, who is fighting Stage 4 Cancer.
The “Pink Out Game,” is the night the Trojans bring out the pink jerseys purchased with the money raised from Kim (Franey) Friday’s memorial to the Booster Club.
The jersey’s have Kim’s initial on them.
Kim’s husband, Robert, and their children have been instrumental in continuing the “Pink Out,” game at the school.
