The Pleasantville Trojans posted a season record of 5 wins and 4 losses in 2019. The Trojans were 2-3 in Class 1A District 7 play falling to Pella Christian, Woodward-Granger and Interstate-35. The District victories came against Colfax-Mingo and Woodward Academy.

Picking up first-team all-district honors for their play on the field this past season were Cale Anthony, Kolbie Jarvis, Isaac Mann and Brady Wiseman.

Cale Anthony led all of Class 1A in rushing yards with 1,793 on 239 attempts for a 7.5 yard per carry average and 25 touchdowns.

Anthony was named to the district team as a running back and Brady Wiseman of Pleasantville was placed on the first-team all-district squad as an offensive lineman.

Pleasantville’s Isaac Mann was honored on the all-district team as a linebacker and Kolbie Jarvis as a defensive back.

Anthony also made the first-team as a punter.

Anthony, Jarvis and Wiseman are all seniors, while Mann is a junior.

The Trojans also landed five players on the All-District 7 second-team. Those players include Jake DeJoode, Matthew Kauffman and Hunter Olivia all on the defensive side of the ball, while Ragan Krichau and Caylor Clark were named to the team for offense.

Honorable Mention players for the Trojans were Wyatt Clark, Tagan Douma and Alex Sampson.

The Trojans were coached by Mack Jorth.


The Trojans landed a lof of players on the Academic All-District Team. The list includes Cale Anthony, Colby Sandholdt, Brendan Aldrich, Caylor Clark, Bristol Huyck, Aaron Wilkins, Jacob Hiemstra, Isaac Mann, Jake DeJoode, Brady Wiseman, Wyatt Clark, Larry Remster, seth schumacher, Cael Berglund and Dale Jolly. Also honored for their grades from Pleasantville were the following managers, Carlie Sloan, Hattie Renfrow, Alyssa McConnell, Rachel Harvey, Josie Sowers and Bridgette McKinney.
