There have been some close calls, but up until Friday, Dec. 13, the Twin Cedars Sabers were searching for that elusive first win.

The Sabers topped Mormon Trail in Humeston last Friday 44-29 to get the monkey off their back.

The win put the Lady Sabers at 1-5 overall.

Chloe Swank hit for a season high 19 points followed by Brooke Roby with 11.

Sawnk also pulled in seven boards and Kaya DesPlanque had six points and four blocked shots. TC led 22-12 at half and never looked back.

In four of the first five losses the Sabers were with 13 points at the end.

Moulton-Udell beat TC 39-34 Dec. 10. Swank had 13 points and Roby 12 in the loss.

The Sabers trailed 28-25 entering the final quarter.

In a 39-29 loss to Murray the Sabers had nine from Roby and 8 by Swank.
