All of the small school teams in Marion County are winning at a scorching pace in softball.
The Twin Cedars Sabers split a pair of games Saturday at the Mormon Trail Softball Tournament and they still stand at 13-2 overall.
TC beat Mormon Trail 19-0 in three innings as Ali Mockenhaupt tossed a no-hitter at the Saints.
The Sabers erupted for 19 runs on 13 hits. Chloe Durian had four RBI for TC followed by Chloe Swank and Grace Bailey each with 3 RBI.
Plating two runs each were Ali Mockenhaupt, Jetta Sterner and Ainsley Dunkin.
The Seymour Warriors scored three runs in the top of the sixth and then held on to beat the Sabers 5-3.
Bailey took the loss in the circle as she went six innings allowing seven hits, five runs, of which only two were earned.
Bailey fanned three and walked one.
TC’s bats were silenced as they had just four hits, one each from Mockenhaupt, Bailey, Caitlyn Reed and Durian.
Hits by Bailey and Durian were doubles.
Ori Trimble earned the pitching win for Seymour by allowing just three hits in the contest.
