Back-to-back games for the Panthers June 6 and 7 saw the team drop games to Ankeny Centennial 15-5 and to Davis County 2-0.
Blaise Hubler was the losing pitcher for Knoxville against Centennial.
He went 3.1 innings allowing 13 runs on 10 hits. Only six of the runs were earned.
Ben Olson and Carter Bailey each had two hits for Knoxville in the Centennial contest.
The game was called by the 10-run rule after five innings.
The Mustangs came to Knoxville and beat the Panthers 2-0 on a brilliant pitching performance by Kaleb Wagler who went 5.1 innings for the win. He allowed just one hit as did pitcher Caden Hill, who finished on the mound.
The Mustangs scored both runs in the top of the first.
Mike Hudson took the pitching loss for Knoxville despite allowing just eight hits.
The two Knoxville hits were singles off the bats of Mike Hudson and Carter Bailey.
The loss put the Panthers at 3-10 overall and 3-5 in the league.
