It took two days to complete but the Knoxville Panthers prevailed 12-4 in varsity baseball action against the Albia Blue Demons.

The game started Thursday, June 21 and finished the next day due to inclement weather that moved in.

The game Friday resumed where it left off Thursday and that was with the two teams tied at 3-3 in the third.

Ben Wallace was the winning pitcher for Knoxville.

A four-run fourth and three-run sixth made it no contest at the end of the night.

The Panthers combined for 13 hits, two each from Wallace, Jacob Zuck, Rylan Cox and Mike Hudson and three hits from Kyle Ramsey.

Hudson and Wallace each had two RBI for Knoxville.

The victory raised Coach Matt Miller’s KHS squad to 13-9 overall.
