Two days and three more softball games for the Melcher-Dallas Saints varsity squad.
M-D fell to the Murray Mustangs 6-1 Monday, July 1 in Murray.
The Mustangs snapped a 1-1 tie with a five-run fourth inning that proved to be too much for the Saints.
Only one of the six runs were earned as errors aided the Murray effort for the night.
Murray pitcher Kayla Wookey earned the win with relief help from Breianna Klein. The two combined to shut down the M-D offense, by allowing only three hits.
M-D singles were collected by Riley Enfield, Emilie Krpan and Kynser Reed.
Klein carried the big bat to the plate for the Mustangs as she hit a home run with a runner on in the fourth.
Murray improved to 27-9 with the win while the Saints slipped to 23-5.
