Kynser Reed prepares to serve for the M-D Saints.

The Melcher-Dallas Saints fell to 10-5 overall with a loss to S.E. Warren Monday, Oct. 7 in a match played in Liberty Center.

The Warhawks beat the Saints by the final tally of 25-20, 25-17, 15-25, 25-20.

“We did an amazing job defensively tonight. We did miss too many serves at key times and lacked communication at times. We played amazing in the third game but just could not pull out the win,” stated M-D Coach Jesyka Nolte.

Kacey Enfield led the Saints with 10 kills followed by Kynser Reed with seven and Grace Overgaard with five.

Reed was all over the court defensively as she recorded 28 big digs. Riley Enfield was next with 19 and Kacey Enfield recorded 10.

Riley Enfield ran the offense and posted 20 assists.

Serving leaders were Reed going 14-of-15 and Haley Godfrey 14-of-16 at the line.

M-D will play host to Moulton-Udell in league play today (Thursday) with JV action starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Wayne Tournament in Corydon is set for Saturday.
